0G Labs launches Compute Finance, enabling staked digital assets to pay for AI compute through Ascend and iAI integrations.
AI & Agents ·
0G Labs has introduced Compute Finance (ComFi), a financial framework that allows staked digital assets to generate and pay for artificial intelligence compute resources. The system pairs Ascend, a liquid staking product already live at ascend.finance where users stake 0G tokens to receive a0G, with Infinite AI (iAI), a compute-focused asset scheduled to launch September 29 at iai.finance. The mechanics work through a sequential loop: users holding a0G can mint iAI tokens, stake them to earn compute credits, and deploy those credits across 0G's AI infrastructure including 0G Private Computer and the 0G App, which together provide access to over 100 models.
The architecture treats compute as a scarce, priced commodity requiring its own financial layer. Under initial terms, eligible staked iAI is designed to accrue compute credits with a stated usage value exceeding $1 per day. Co-Founder and CEO Michael H. characterized the shift as analogous to how equity introduced dividends and proof-of-work enabled new participation rewards. ComFi aims to eliminate idle asset positioning by directly linking network participation to tangible compute consumption.
Ascend and Infinite AI represent the first implementations of this broader Compute Finance thesis. iAI will be tradable on comfy.fun. The rollout remains subject to product eligibility, jurisdictional restrictions, and terms of service; compute credits apply only to supported 0G services and carry no cash redemption or guaranteed return guarantees.
