Reserve Protocol debuts five tokenized AI supply-chain funds on BNB Chain
AI & Agents ·
The decentralized finance platform rolled out a set of onchain funds giving continuous, 24/7 exposure to different layers of the AI buildout, from chips to robotics.
Reserve Protocol has introduced five separate token funds on BNB Chain, each mapped to a distinct segment of the artificial intelligence infrastructure economy, according to an announcement. The lineup includes $BUILDOUT for the broad AI hardware stack, $POWER for electricity supply, $PHOTON for photonics and optical data transport, $NEOCLOUD for rented compute capacity, and $ROBOTS for physical automation and robotics. Every fund is composed of tokenized shares of US-listed companies, delivered through Ondo Finance's Global Markets wrapper, and can be traded around the clock.
Mechanically, each fund functions as a single token representing a weighted basket of equities rather than a portfolio investors must assemble themselves. Because the underlying assets are tokenized rather than routed through a traditional registration process, these funds can begin trading within the week their assets go onchain, compared with the roughly 75 days a conventional US ETF typically needs between filing and launch. Holders can redeem their tokens at any time for the assets backing them.
The five baskets draw on some of the largest names across their respective niches. $BUILDOUT spans the 25 biggest US-listed AI hardware companies, covering chip designers, foundries, memory makers and equipment suppliers. $POWER focuses on utility and grid-equipment firms tied to data-center electricity demand, an area where analysts have projected US power consumption from data centers could roughly triple by the end of the decade. $PHOTON targets the optical components moving data through AI infrastructure, a segment forecast to see spending climb sharply over the next two years. $NEOCLOUD covers companies renting out GPU compute capacity, a market some estimates put in the tens of billions of dollars annually with rapid growth expected by 2030. $ROBOTS is built from automation and robotics firms, an industry that has drawn tens of billions of dollars in investment over the past year according to industry trackers.
The launch corroborates a separate report describing the same five Ondo-powered AI equity funds going live on BNB Chain with 24/7 trading on PancakeSwap, indicating the rollout is being tracked across at least two sources. All five funds are accessible through app.reserve.org, Bitget Wallet, or decentralized exchanges including PancakeSwap X and CoWSwap, with a 0.3% minting fee and a 0.6% total-value-locked fee, and eligibility subject to Ondo's geographic restrictions.
What remains unclear is how trading volume and liquidity will develop for each fund individually, and whether additional token funds tracking other segments of the AI supply chain are planned.
