World ID launches biometric verification integration with Zoom to authenticate human users and combat AI deepfakes in enterprise meetings.
AI & Agents ·
World ID has deployed its identity wallet for Zoom enterprise customers globally, enabling meeting participants to verify their humanity through biometric authentication. The integration addresses rising concerns about AI-generated deepfakes and automated fraud in business communications, positioning the capability as a practical security layer for enterprise environments rather than a crypto-specific tool.
World ID app functions as an identity wallet storing cryptographic proofs, including Proof of Human—established through a single Orb verification—alongside Proof of Presence and Proof of Attributes. The system is built on World ID 4.0 protocol, designed for production-grade resilience and compatibility with existing enterprise security infrastructure. More than 18 million people currently hold a Proof of Human, which has been presented over 475 million times globally.
The Zoom integration marks a shift in how biometric verification reaches mainstream enterprise users, though specific technical details about the verification flow within Zoom meetings remain unclear. It is not yet stated whether the feature will be mandatory, optional, or configurable by meeting organizers, or how friction-free the verification experience will be at meeting entry.
