Binance Wallet adds first RWA vault, built on R25 infrastructure
DeFi & Yields ·
The vault, called Axil Prime Credit Vault, offers roughly 13% projected annual yield on USDC and marks Binance Wallet's first real-world-asset product after integrating more than 40 DeFi protocols.
Binance Wallet has opened subscriptions for a new RWA vault built with R25, targeting approximately 13% annual net yield on deposited USDC, according to details shared via x.com. The vault carries a 3-month lock-up period and a total subscription cap of $70M, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Binance Wallet is also running a promotional period from 15 to 19 July 2026, during which depositors share in a $300,000 pool of PROS token rewards on top of the base yield.
The mechanics are straightforward: users open the wallet inside the Binance app, navigate to the Discover tab, and subscribe with a minimum of 100 USDC. The deposit window is capped both by time and by the $70M ceiling, whichever comes first. The promotion specifically applies to the "R25 Axil USDC (3-month lock-up)" vault product, as outlined in the campaign details relayed through the same source.
The choice of partner is notable because Binance Wallet had previously covered lending, liquid staking derivatives, and restaking, but had no RWA offering until now. R25 was selected not for a single product but for its underlying architecture: a modular vault framework built on ERC-4626, ERC-7540, and ERC-7575 standards that separates custody, issuance, valuation, redemption, and fee management into pluggable components. That design is intended to accommodate real-world assets that require multi-day settlement, effectively positioning R25 as a template for issuing on-chain vaults rather than a single yield product.
The Axil Prime Credit Vault itself is described as the first vault built on this infrastructure, with Axil managing the underlying credit assets, R25 handling vault infrastructure, and Binance Wallet serving as the distribution channel. Corroborating details from the same cluster indicate the vault's yield is backed by diversified micro-consumer credit loans, with risk controls that include per-loan exposure caps and a bankruptcy mechanism tied to the curator.
What remains unclear is how the ~13% yield performs once the 3-month lock-up matures, and whether the $70M cap will be reached before the 19 July 2026 promotional deadline. It is also not yet established how loan defaults within the underlying credit pool would be handled beyond the stated risk controls, or whether Binance Wallet plans to expand the R25-built vault model to additional RWA products beyond this first launch.
