Circle's Arc blockchain will launch on public mainnet September 16, 2026, backed by a founding validator group including BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC, and eight other institutions currently testing the network with over 100 builders in private mainnet. The network will feature DeFi protocols, payment providers, and wallet services at launch, with Circle planning asset tokenization in collaboration with DTCC beginning in the second half of 2027. BlackRock's BUIDL fund is expected to deploy on Arc, enabling institutional investors to subscribe, redeem, and manage assets within a single on-chain environment.
