Cross River Bank has integrated Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin into its banking platform, allowing transactions to settle in three to five seconds while providing businesses access to the stablecoin alongside traditional payment methods like ACH and wire transfers through a single API. The partnership embeds RLUSD into Cross River's Core Operating System, enabling faster settlement and reduced costs for cross-border payments and treasury management around the clock, though the offering is currently available only in certain US states. Meanwhile, Standard Chartered launched custody support for RLUSD through its Dubai branch and is working with Ripple and LMAX Group to make the stablecoin eligible collateral for selected products, allowing institutions to reflect the value of held tokens at trading venues without transferring them.
