DefiLlama and Trueo launch prediction markets tied to protocol revenue and hack odds
DeFi & Yields ·
New markets let traders bet directly on DeFi revenue trends and exploit probabilities, settled using DefiLlama data.
DefiLlama has partnered with Trueo to roll out prediction markets that settle based on DefiLlama's own data feeds, according to a post from DefiLlama. The launch covers two main categories: revenue markets and exploit markets, alongside a handful of other on-chain metrics.
On the revenue side, traders can now take positions on protocol income for Hyperliquid, Pump, Aero, Uniswap, Collector Crypt, and Papertrade. These markets let users trade directly on what the announcement calls "the revenue meta," turning protocol earnings data into a tradable instrument rather than just a dashboard metric.
The exploit markets function as a hedge against hack risk. Traders can bet on whether there will be exploits affecting Aave and Morpho specifically within the current month, and there are also weekly and monthly markets tied to the size of the largest hack across DeFi overall. This effectively prices in the market's own expectations of exploit probability and severity, using DefiLlama's data as the settlement source.
Beyond revenue and exploits, the initial lineup includes markets on Robinhood Chain RWA market cap, Robinhood Chain DEX volume, and a market on whether Solana or Base will end the week with higher total value locked. A corroborating account of the launch describes eight initial markets spanning these revenue, exploit, and on-chain metric categories, pointing to the same structure outlined in the original announcement.
What remains unclear is how settlement disputes would be handled, what liquidity or volume these markets have attracted since launch, and whether additional protocols or metrics will be added beyond the initial set. The announcement points users to defillama.com/predictions for the live markets, but neither the original post nor the corroborating coverage details trading volume, market depth, or resolution mechanics beyond tying outcomes to DefiLlama's data.
