Fomo launches in-house bridge enabling sub-second cross-chain swaps on its platform.

Fomo has begun rolling out its own internal bridge to all users, enabling cross-chain swaps to settle in less than one second. The bridge launched to a limited user group a week prior and is now available publicly. According to the announcement, Fomo executes trades up to 50 percent faster than existing alternatives and processes over 10 times the cross-chain volume of any other trading application.
The speed gains stem from Fomo controlling multiple layers of the trading stack. Beyond the bridge itself, an internal router improves execution by 0.5 percent on average and lifts the worst-performing 10 percent of trades by more than 2 percent. The company says owning both bridging and routing infrastructure—along with pricing, indexing, and routing components—allows it to reduce latency at every stage and lower costs for users.
The rollout emphasizes performance during volatile market conditions, when speed matters most. Fomo frames this capability as part of a broader mission to build the best cross-chain trading product and establish itself as a financial social graph. Questions remain about how the bridge will scale as adoption grows and whether the <1-second settlement time can be maintained consistently during extreme market stress.
