Gokubu offers 6% token rewards on Premium card spending (capped at $2k/month) but permits collateral liquidation without notice per cardholder agreement.

BitGo Labs, a research and innovation division announced on October 21, 2026, has launched Gokubu, a consumer application offering a card usable at Visa merchants. The product advertises token-based rewards of up to 6% for Premium subscribers on the first $2,000 of monthly spending; Basic accounts earn 2%. Rewards are paid in $GKU tokens rather than cash, with a 30-day holding period before conversion to USD or use within the ecosystem. The $9.99 monthly Premium subscription covers the enhanced rate, while the card itself carries no annual fee.
The account operates as a secured credit product backed by collateral stored through BitGo's infrastructure on supported blockchains including Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, and Arbitrum, or held as fiat in the account. Customers retain ownership of these assets, which are held in custody by BitGo Trust Company or an affiliate. Gokubu reserves the right to liquidate collateral upon transaction settlement without requiring a missed payment, and can also trigger liquidation if a payment is not received in full within 21 days of the statement due date or if collateral value falls below outstanding charges.
A disclaimer on the rewards page states that $GKU has not been issued or offered for sale, leaving the token's actual availability and redemption mechanics unconfirmed. Gokubu also reserves the right to modify or discontinue the rewards program. The product is described as live, though the operational status of the token reward feature itself remains unclear.
