Maple Finance adopts Ethena's USDtb stablecoin as a $400M liquidity buffer.
DeFi & Yields ·
Maple Finance has adopted Ethena's USDtb stablecoin as a core holding within its USD liquidity buffer, which supports the syrupUSDC and syrupUSDT products. The buffer currently holds approximately $400 million in liquid USD assets. Maple is the first to integrate Ethena Whitelabel Liquidity, giving it access to stablecoin liquidity on-chain around the clock.
USDtb is built on Ethena's GENIUS compliance framework. The integration positions the stablecoin as a foundational element within Maple's yield-bearing product infrastructure, where it supports liquidity management for two USD-denominated offerings.
The announcement does not specify whether this represents new capital flowing into the arrangement, whether Maple held other stablecoins before, or the timeline for the transition. The broader scope of Ethena Whitelabel Liquidity—whether other protocols have adopted it or plan to—remains unclear.
