Metric launches a multi-chain DEX on Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Ethereum with oracle-based pricing and custom pool deployment.
DeFi & Yields ·
Metric is now live on Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and Ethereum, enabling users to swap, provide liquidity, or deploy custom pools through its platform. The decentralized exchange separates pricing and liquidity management into two roles: a Price Provider that sets bid, ask, and reference prices using oracles, onchain data, or custom rules, and a pool that holds liquidity in percentage ranges around that reference and executes trades. Unlike traditional automated market makers, the pool itself does not serve as its own oracle—trades only move price relative to the reference point, and when that reference shifts, the liquidity ranges adjust accordingly.
The architecture supports multiple configurations. Pools can be public and accept outside liquidity or operate as proprietary AMMs using curator capital. They can rely on pushed price updates or derive quotes directly from onchain logic without external feeds. Metric enables pools to reference offchain markets through oracle feeds for tokenized assets, onchain markets by using other pools' prices as references, yield-bearing tokens through conversion rates, or custom instruments via bespoke pricing models. Integration with major aggregators including 0x, 1inch, OKX, KyberSwap, and CoW Swap provides order flow routing.
The platform reports $23.8 billion in total volume traded. All pools run on audited core contracts and are composable across decentralized finance from launch. Open questions remain about adoption rates, curator participation, and how the reference-price mechanism performs under volatile market conditions.
