OKX integrates EURC stablecoin with unified EUR orderbook for euro-native trading.
DeFi & Yields ·
OKX has unified EUR and EURC spot liquidity in a shared order book, enabling euro-native trading for European users with 1:1 conversion between the two denominations. The integration expands the exchange's regional infrastructure as it pursues a broader strategy beyond derivatives to become a full-scale financial platform serving over 120 million users globally.
The move sits within OKX's wider push into regional and regulated products across Europe, including the recent launch of X-Perps derivatives across 30 EEA countries under MiFID II compliance, and adoption of everyday payment use cases signaled by its card spending data in the region. A unified order book reduces friction for traders holding either EUR fiat or EURC stablecoin, streamlining execution without requiring separate settlement paths.
It remains unclear whether the unified book extends beyond spot trading to derivatives or whether additional stablecoins or fiat currencies will follow under similar integration models. The initiative does not address pricing mechanisms or minimum liquidity thresholds OKX may have set for the shared pair.
