Ondo Perps surpasses $10 billion in cumulative trading volume

The platform for real-world-asset derivatives says it has recorded the fastest ramp-up of any RWA perpetuals venue.
Ondo Perps has crossed $10 billion in cumulative trading volume, a threshold described as a major milestone for real world asset derivatives, according to a post on X. The platform says the pace to reach that figure represents the fastest start recorded in the history of RWA perpetuals trading.
Daily volume has continued to climb, with activity now reaching hundreds of millions of dollars per day, per the same update. Open interest on the platform has also surpassed $100 million, a sign that more capital is being committed to positions rather than just passing through in short-term trades.
Collateral use is also expanding beyond typical formats. Nearly $20 million worth of Ondo Stocks is currently being used as collateral on the platform, pointing to tokenized equities being folded directly into derivatives trading rather than serving purely as a spot holding.
The cluster tracking this milestone shows two distinct sources describing the same set of figures — the $10 billion cumulative volume total and the more-than-$100 million open interest number — reinforcing that the metrics are being circulated consistently rather than appearing in isolation.
Ondo has framed its longer-term objective as narrowing the gap between equity perpetuals and traditional derivatives markets, though the post does not detail specific product or infrastructure steps planned to achieve that goal. Not yet clear is how open interest and collateral composition will evolve as volume scales further, or how the platform's growth compares against other entrants in the RWA derivatives space now that it has set a benchmark for early-stage activity.
