Outcome has launched OUT, a decentralized exchange built on HIP-4, the Hyperliquid protocol layer for custom applications. The deployment represents the first DEX to go live on the HIP-4 standard, expanding the ecosystem beyond the primary Hyperliquid trading platform.
HIP-4 enables developers to build applications natively on Hyperliquid infrastructure, leveraging shared liquidity and settlement mechanisms. OUT's deployment signals early adoption of this framework for perpetual derivatives trading outside the core exchange.
Questions remain about OUT's feature set, trading pairs offered, and how it will differentiate from or complement existing Hyperliquid trading. The broader uptake of HIP-4 by other projects and the volume routed through applications built on the standard are also still to be determined.
