Pendle launches fixed-income yield market on Robinhood Chain as L2s experience net capital outflows back to Ethereum mainnet.
DeFi & Yields ·
Pendle went live on Robinhood Chain on September 4, introducing fixed-income yield functionality to the layer-2 network through its inaugural market for sNET tokens maturing on September 17, 2026. The deployment enables users to secure predetermined yields, access leveraged positions on underlying coin yields, and earn fees through liquidity provision on the new chain.
The timing coincides with mounting capital pressure on layer-2 ecosystems. On-chain monitoring detected that Robinhood Chain experienced the steepest single-day outflow among major L2s at approximately $21 million, while Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, and Hyperliquid collectively sent roughly $46.5 million back to Ethereum mainnet over the same 24-hour window. This rotation signals investors shifting assets toward the primary chain despite ongoing protocol deployments.
The key question is whether Pendle's fixed-income products can reverse or stabilize capital flight on Robinhood Chain. The sNET market launch represents a foundational yield layer, yet it remains unclear whether additional markets or ecosystem expansion will prove sufficient to anchor liquidity as broader L2 fund flows trend toward Ethereum.
