Polygon OMS introduces automated stablecoin payout runs with onchain enforcement of recipient, spending, and expiry limits.

Polygon Labs rolled out automated stablecoin payout runs on the Open Money Stack on October 12, 2026, allowing payment teams to pre-approve recipient lists, spending budgets, and time windows for recurring transfers without signing each transaction individually. Once authorized, a backend service can submit payout requests during the approved period, and the wallet enforces the preset limits onchain before executing any transfer. The feature targets repeating payment cycles including marketplace settlements, contractor payments, creator revenue shares, rewards, and partner commissions.
The system separates request generation from authorization by recording approval terms in the wallet's Sessions Module. Each payout request is checked against the stored recipient scope, spending cap, contract methods, and expiry window before execution; requests outside these bounds are rejected at the wallet contract level. This prevents a compromised or misconfigured backend from expanding the recipient list, increasing spending limits, or extending the approval window after initial approval. Teams retain the ability to revoke an active rule at any time.
The announcement does not specify a live deployment address, transaction volume, or detailed retry and partial-run reconciliation logic. It also leaves open how quickly revocation takes effect on requests already in flight and whether an unavailable backend could delay payouts despite its inability to alter approved terms.
