Privy announced a partnership with Ripple on October 13, 2026 to bring programmable wallet infrastructure to the XRP Ledger, targeting stablecoin payments, fintech applications and agent transactions. The integration will let developers create and manage XRPL wallets that sign transactions using $XRP, $RLUSD and other ledger assets, with an export option for private keys and seed phrases to preserve user ownership. Embedded wallets are designed for payment companies and fintechs to handle customer stablecoin payments without direct key management, while server-side wallets support software agents that hold and transact funds including through x402 payments. The announcement describes future capabilities rather than a public rollout with activation timing, with policy controls and gas sponsorship planned as part of deeper integration over time.
