Robinhood Chain DEX volume surges to $1.67B in 24 hours, driven by tokenized-stock and meme-coin trading on Uniswap.
DeFi & Yields ·
Robinhood Chain's decentralized exchange volume reached $1.67 billion in 24 hours, with Uniswap accounting for $1.232 billion of the total, according to recent data. Total value locked on the chain has nearly doubled since August 1 to approximately $740 million. The surge reflects intense trading activity concentrated in tokenized-stock and meme-coin trading pairs, where launchpads including Long, Bankr, Flap, and PAIR have built mechanisms allowing memecoins to be paired against stock tokens instead of stablecoins.
The dominant pattern involves stock tokens serving as the quote asset in liquidity pools, routing demand for memecoins through equity wrappers to reach concentrated depth. Among 19 major stock tokens tracked, 432 live pools held stock tokens as the quote asset, representing 17.2 percent of the onchain float for those tickers. In the 24 hours measured, these pools carried $95.3 million of the $304.1 million traded volume for those same tokens—roughly 31.3 percent—demonstrating that memecoin pairs have become the dominant use case for tokenized equities on the chain.
What remains unclear is how much of this activity reflects genuine demand for equity exposure versus speculative trading driven solely by the memecoin mechanism. The data captures a snapshot at a specific block; pool compositions and trading flows shift rapidly, and the figures represent lower bounds on actual engagement with stock tokens across the broader chain ecosystem.
