Robinhood Chain TVL approaches $1B with 71% growth in 30 days, but analyst questions whether momentum is sustainable given historical precedent of similar chains experiencing liquidity outflows.
DeFi & Yields ·
Robinhood Chain's decentralized finance activity has grown sharply, with total value locked approaching $928 million as of September 16, representing a 71% increase over the preceding thirty days. Stablecoin reserves on the chain reached approximately $1.03 billion, while decentralized exchange volume and perpetual futures volume in a single day totaled $1.55 billion and $577.6 million respectively.
The rapid expansion raises questions about durability. Analysis points to historical precedent from Fantom, Aurora, Canto, and Songbird, noting that elevated total value locked has not consistently translated into sustained liquidity retention across those chains. Protocol-level metrics recorded $525,000 in fees and $472,000 in revenue within a 24-hour period.
The central uncertainty is whether current capital inflows can transition into long-term productive activity or represent an initial wave of liquidity allocation that may reverse. No forecast or concrete sustainability benchmark has yet emerged to resolve this question.
