Robinhood Chain TVL jumped 45% in August, driven by stablecoin growth ($640M), while tokenized RWA interest wanes.
DeFi & Yields ·
Robinhood Chain's total value locked grew 45% during August, with stablecoin market cap on the chain reaching $640 million, the bulk of which came from USDe. The expansion reflects a significant shift in capital allocation on the network during the month.
The surge in stablecoin liquidity has coincided with weakening momentum in tokenized real-world assets on the chain. This divergence suggests market participants are favoring yield-bearing stablecoins over RWA-backed instruments at present, though the underlying reasons for the rotation remain unclear.
The sustainability of this growth pattern and whether stablecoin concentration will persist as a dominant liquidity driver remain open questions. Similarly, it is not yet established whether tokenized RWA interest will stabilize or continue to decline on the chain.
