Samsung and Solana partnering to enable USDC transfers on 82M Galaxy devices via Samsung Wallet starting late October 2026, with integrated fiat on/off-ramps.
DeFi & Yields ·
Samsung and Solana have entered a partnership to bring USD Coin transfers to users across the United States. The integration, set to launch in late October 2026, will operate through Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay, allowing customers to move stablecoins across borders. The capability will reach approximately 82 million Galaxy devices in the US market, with the companies signaling plans to extend availability to additional regions pending regulatory clearance. Built-in currency conversion tools will let users convert between fiat and digital assets directly within the payment interface.
The announcement arrives as Solana's price declined 3 percent, with the token trading near $115 at the time of reporting. The stablecoin ecosystem on Solana's network continues to expand momentum despite the near-term price movement of the underlying network token.
Outstanding questions include the full scope of regulatory requirements that will govern the phased rollout beyond the US, the identity of additional launch markets under consideration, and whether the partnership contemplates expansion of supported digital assets beyond USDC in future phases.
