trade.xyz launches Events feature, expanding Hyperliquid's vision as a universal composable exchange for financial assets and real-world outcomes.

Trade.xyz has launched Events, a feature enabling users to trade outcomes across sports, politics, economics, and financial markets within its Hyperliquid-based platform. The offering allows traders to access multiple asset classes and event markets from a single unified account—for instance, holding spot Bitcoin, borrowing stablecoins via portfolio margin, trading pre-IPO perpetuals, and wagering on earnings events or sports outcomes simultaneously.
Events initially focuses on Up/Down markets for equities, commodities, and pre-IPO assets. These contracts draw liquidity and price discovery from trade.xyz's perpetuals markets on HIP-3, which serve as the resolution mechanism. By anchoring contract outcomes to the platform's own liquid perp prices rather than external oracles, each event market is grounded in XYZ's continuous price feed. The vision frames Hyperliquid as a composable, universal exchange unifying financial and real-world outcome trading.
The range of categories and contract formats is described as expanding, though specific timelines and which additional markets or formats are planned remain unannounced.
