USDC issuance on Hyperliquid L1 has reached parity with Solana supply, signaling growing stablecoin adoption on the emerging chain.
DeFi & Yields ·
USDC issuance on Hyperliquid L1 has reached parity with the stablecoin's supply on Solana, according to on-chain commentary. The mechanics direct yield generated from USDC holdings back into purchasing HYPE, Hyperliquid's native token. Under the AQAv2 framework, these proceeds flow to the Assistance Fund, with the first payment of $14.58M recorded on October 4.
At a $5.9B USDC volume earning approximately 3.3 percent annually, the yield structure could generate roughly $195M per year, or approximately 2.4M HYPE tokens at prevailing prices. The transaction verifying this payment is recorded on-chain.
What remains unclear is whether USDC issuance continues to grow beyond parity or has stabilized at Solana levels, and how sustained yield generation and token buyback mechanics will influence HYPE's longer-term price dynamics and fund accumulation rates.
