BitGo completed a $42.5 million acquisition of NYDIG's institutional trading unit, structured as a two-step merger combining $7 million in cash with roughly $35.5 million in BitGo stock, plus earnout provisions. The deal brings roughly 30 employees and client relationships into BitGo's platform, adding derivatives, structured products, financing and capital-markets services for asset managers, hedge funds, corporates and family offices. NYDIG will redirect focus toward power generation, Bitcoin mining and high-performance computing data centers, with a development pipeline exceeding 3 gigawatts.
