Hyperliquid's token reached an all-time high of $83.27 before pulling back, as the layer-1 blockchain prepares for a scheduled unlock on August 29 that will release 14,175,778 tokens worth approximately $1.2 billion at current prices. The release, equal to 1.4% of total supply, will direct nearly 47% of unlocked tokens to insiders, with the remainder split between community allocations and the Hyper Foundation. Past monthly unlocks have produced mixed price reactions, with the token falling 7% and 14.1% after two prior releases while rising 1% after another, though insider-heavy distributions have historically drawn closer trader scrutiny due to early investors' profit-taking incentives.
