eole Inc., a Japan-listed company (TSE Growth: 2334), acquired 1,078.2547 HYPE tokens on July 28 at an average cost of JPY 9,352.78 ($57.10) per token, totaling approximately JPY 10.08 million ($61,600). The move marks the first time a Japanese-listed firm has purchased the token. eole plans to expand its holdings through additional buys before August closes, targeting a cumulative JPY 100 million ($610,500) allocation.
The company intends to retain HYPE as a strategic holding under its "Neo Crypto Bank" initiative, which focuses on on-chain finance and Web3 operations. This purchase reflects a shift toward integrating crypto-native assets into its corporate portfolio rather than treating them as short-term trading positions.
The full extent of additional purchases through August and the final acquisition price remain undisclosed. The timing and execution of the remaining tranches—and whether they occur at the same price point—are not yet confirmed.
