Tiger Research signs MOU with Standard Chartered's SC Ventures to connect Asia network with fintech portfolio.
Ecosystem ·
Tiger Research has entered a memorandum of understanding with SC Ventures, the innovation arm of Standard Chartered, to connect Tiger Research's Asia network with the bank's fintech portfolio. Standard Chartered, a London-headquartered institution with roughly $800 billion in assets, has positioned itself as a institutional bridge between traditional finance and crypto through research, infrastructure investment, and regulated custody and stablecoin operations across Asia and beyond.
The partnership aligns with Standard Chartered's multi-track digital-assets strategy, which spans market research and price forecasting, custody infrastructure via its Zodia platform, regulated stablecoin issuance, and venture capital deployment through SC Ventures. The bank's crypto footprint has expanded to include tokenization work, prime brokerage services, and integrated access to USD Coin minting and redemption alongside established financial partners.
The specifics of how Tiger Research's network will integrate with SC Ventures' portfolio companies and whether the arrangement involves equity, advisory, or commercial access remain unspecified. No timeline or investment size has been disclosed.
