Bitcoin ETFs posted $304.77M net inflows for the week while Ethereum ETFs declined $220M, widening the performance gap between the two asset classes.
Macro & Markets ·
Spot Bitcoin ETF flows ended the week positive at $304.77 million after a volatile period that included a peak inflow of $526.60 million early in the week and a sharp reversal on Thursday, when withdrawals reached $635.49 million—the highest daily outflow since late June. The Ethereum ETF picture stood in sharper contrast, with $220 million leaving the funds during the same period and cumulative outflows of over $1.2 billion since late September, when net inflows had peaked near $14 billion.
The divergence reflects differing investor appetite for the two assets. Bitcoin ETFs recovered from two prior consecutive weeks of net outflows, while Ethereum products extended a fourth consecutive week of net withdrawals with only three green days recorded since late September. The week's price action—Bitcoin reaching $85,000 before rejection, and Ethereum slipping over 4% to $2,350—underscored the performance split between the two asset classes and their tracking vehicles.
The cumulative picture shows Bitcoin spot ETFs now holding just under $57.2 billion in total net inflows, while Ethereum spot ETFs hold below $12.75 billion. Whether the Ethereum outflow streak will persist or reverse remains uncertain, as does whether Bitcoin's latest weekly gain signals sustained demand or another temporary reprieve amid broader volatility.
