Bitmine acquired 53,501 ETH valued at approximately $131 million, marking its largest weekly purchase since June and bringing total holdings to 5.9 million ETH, or 4.9% of Ethereum's supply. The purchase extends a 65-week accumulation streak launched in June 2025, positioning Bitmine 98% toward its stated goal of controlling 5% of the network. Chairman Tom Lee cited Ethereum's outperformance of the S&P 500 by 5,430 basis points in the third quarter as justification for the accelerated buying pace.
