Bitwise has raised its 10-year Bitcoin price target to $1.6 million by 2036, up from $1.3 million, citing expansions in both the addressable store-of-value and institutional investment markets alongside Bitcoin's growing market share. The revision pushes Bitcoin's projected compound annual growth rate to 34.3%, up from 28.3%, despite the asset declining more than 50% between October 2025 and June 2026. According to the analysis, Bitcoin's portion of the store-of-value market has increased from below 1% over the past decade to above 5% currently, and correlation with gold has risen. While acknowledging headwinds including slower exchange-traded fund inflows and gold capturing the majority of store-of-value capital flows, Bitwise pointed to reduced cyclical volatility and continued institutional adoption as evidence of market resilience.
