Capital B, a French bitcoin treasury firm, has acquired 376 BTC valued at €25.3 million ($29.4 million) in what represents its largest purchase in a year, bringing its total holdings to 3,521 BTC. The purchase was funded through proceeds from a completed capital raise, including a €28.7 million private placement that featured an additional €7.6 million investment from Adam Back, whose stake now stands at 17.64% on an ordinary basis.
The company's total bitcoin accumulation across all acquisitions amounts to €309.4 million ($359.3 million), yielding an average cost basis of €87,878 ($102,058) per coin. This latest transaction marks a sharp uptick after a quiet period—Capital B bought only 6 BTC last month, but the September 2025 purchase of 551 BTC had been the previous high point for a single transaction.
Capital B, which rebranded in July 2025 from The Blockchain Group to emphasize its bitcoin treasury strategy, continues to expand its product offerings; the firm indicated in June that it was developing a bitcoin-backed credit product tailored for the European market. Bitcoin trading conditions remain stable, hovering near $79,500 as of Monday's announcement.
