The MSCI Emerging Markets Currency Index reached an all-time high of 1,917 points on Friday with a +0.3% gain, extending its winning streak to eight consecutive weeks—the longest such run since September 2021. Over this period, the index has climbed 3.3% as the US Dollar weakened, with the Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index declining 2.9% to its lowest level since May. The Korean Won and Taiwan Dollar have each strengthened to their highest levels since September 2025 and June 2026 respectively, as dollar weakness provides support for emerging market currencies.
