Ethereum spot ETFs saw $226M in inflows on Thursday, their strongest day in 10 months, with $1.4B total across nine consecutive sessions.

U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded net inflows of $225.8 million on Thursday, marking their best single day in 10 months, according to Farside Investors data. This came as part of a sustained rally: nine consecutive trading sessions starting August 17 have brought in $1.42 billion total, with the streak building on the last net outflow on August 11. BlackRock's ETHA fund has been the primary driver, capturing $1.02 billion across all nine days—roughly 72 percent of the category's total—and buying every single session without interruption. Fidelity's FETH and BlackRock's staked product ETHB rounded out the inflows on Thursday with $56.2 million and $20.7 million respectively.
The magnitude of the Ethereum flows now rivals Bitcoin's. On Thursday alone, Bitcoin spot ETFs took in $242.3 million, only $16.5 million ahead of Ethereum's tally—a dramatic narrowing from August 17, when Bitcoin inflows were roughly ten times larger. Analysts attribute the buying to rising appetite for risk across traditional markets rather than crypto-specific dynamics. Ethereum has underperformed Bitcoin and higher-volatility altcoins during the same window, trading near $2,477 on Friday with modest weekly gains of around 5 percent.
What remains uncertain is whether inflows alone can sustain momentum. Spot trading volume has weakened significantly since the August 19 rally began, sitting at its 16th percentile on a year-over-year basis, raising questions about whether the market has adequate liquidity to hold its recent gains.
