MicroStrategy executive chairman Michael Saylor confirms the company will continue buying Bitcoin without a fixed target, betting on complementary growth between BTC and MSTR stock.

[Michael Saylor], Strategy's executive chairman, stated in a September 28 Binance interview that the company maintains no fixed ceiling on Bitcoin holdings and intends to continue purchasing as it generates capital through equity and credit offerings. Strategy will remain a net buyer despite the scaling challenges ahead—the cost of accumulating additional Bitcoin will rise exponentially as BTC's price climbs, Saylor noted.
The executive characterized the relationship between Bitcoin, the company's securities, and MSTR stock as complementary, with each asset class expected to expand in tandem. This dynamic, he suggested, creates a balanced growth mechanism across the three components rather than a zero-sum trade-off. The open question is how long this net-buyer stance can sustain as acquisition costs accelerate, and whether the claimed symmetry between BTC appreciation and MSTR stock performance will hold during market cycles.
