Smarter Web Company increases Bitcoin treasury to 2,747 BTC with a $2.7M purchase, leveraging Coinbase credit facility at 14.8% LTV.

The Smarter Web Company has expanded its Bitcoin reserves by purchasing 35 additional BTC for roughly £2 million ($2.7 million equivalent), bringing its total holdings to 2,747 BTC. The UK-based digital services firm maintains a net acquisition price of £82,562 per coin, with cumulative gross purchases reaching £235.5 million against gross sales of £8.7 million. The company's accumulation strategy began in late April 2025.
To fund growth while retaining its holdings, the firm has drawn £20.5 million against a Coinbase Strategic Credit Facility secured by its Bitcoin reserves, achieving a leverage ratio of 14.8% with a 6% variable interest rate. Repayment terms carry no prepayment penalties. This move reflects a broader corporate shift toward Bitcoin as part of treasury diversification, particularly as the asset has recovered from recent lows—climbing briefly above $80,000 in late August before settling lower.
What remains unclear is whether additional borrowing or acquisitions are planned under the credit facility, or how market swings might affect the company's leverage position going forward. The context of the purchase timing relative to broader corporate treasury repositioning strategies also warrants monitoring.
