Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $527M in net outflows last week, extending the outflow streak to eight consecutive weeks.
Macro & Markets ·
Spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced $527 million in net outflows during the week of June 29 to July 2, continuing a streak of eight straight weeks of outflows from the flagship cryptocurrency's investment vehicles. Ethereum spot ETFs similarly posted outflows for the eighth consecutive week, recording $13.67 million in net redemptions during the same period. In contrast, other asset-specific ETFs showed divergent flows: Solana saw $5.75 million in net inflows, while XRP ETFs attracted $17.19 million and HYPE ETFs drew $4.32 million.
The eight-week outflow pattern in Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs suggests sustained investor redemption activity despite inflows in smaller crypto asset categories. The concentrated inflows into XRP ETFs indicate selective demand for certain alternative tokens, though the significance of this divergence relative to broader market conditions remains unclear. It is not yet established whether these flows reflect strategic rotation, profit-taking, or shifts in investor risk appetite across digital asset classes.
