Spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs post second straight week of inflows

US-listed spot Bitcoin and Ethereum funds both drew net new money last week, with Ether products outpacing Bitcoin for the period.
Spot Bitcoin funds took in $75.7 million in net inflows for the week, while Ethereum funds pulled in $105.4 million, according to figures cited from The Block. The Ethereum total lines up with separate reporting that pegged the week of July 13โ17 at roughly $105 million in net inflows for Ether funds, per WuBlockchain.
The result marks a second consecutive green week for Bitcoin ETFs after what had been the longest run of sustained outflows the products have seen, according to CryptoPotato. Even so, the same reporting notes Bitcoin funds remain down roughly $8 billion over the prior two months, meaning last week's inflow only partially offsets the longer stretch of redemptions.
The shift matters because sustained ETF inflows are one of the clearer signals of institutional demand feeding directly into spot markets, and renewed buying can ease pressure on exchange order books by encouraging holders to move coins off exchanges rather than sell. Ether's larger weekly total relative to Bitcoin's has been read as a sign that capital rotation within crypto assets may be underway, alongside the broader liquidity effects positive flows tend to produce.
Coverage from Decrypt frames the week's inflows as a reason for investors to look past short-term swings and weigh the longer trend in fund flows rather than react to any single week's number.
What remains unclear is whether the positive week represents a durable reversal or a temporary bounce within a still-negative two-month stretch for Bitcoin funds. Whether Ethereum's outperformance continues, and whether Bitcoin ETFs can string together enough green weeks to meaningfully dent the $8 billion shortfall, are the points likely to shape flow reports in the weeks ahead.
