Tokenized equities captured $480.6M in net inflows over 30 days, representing 25.4% of total real-world asset (RWA) inflows and narrowly outpacing bonds, money-market funds, and gold or commodity tokens. CoinDesk Research noted that these three asset categories together accounted for roughly 75% of RWA net inflows as capital rotates toward equities during the market recovery.
Binance's bStocks emerged as the fastest-growing tokenized-equity issuer, reaching approximately $118.5M in market capitalization within two months of its June 10 launch and climbing to second place ahead of xStocks at $94.5M, while Ondo maintained the lead at $350.5M. On-chain metrics show bStocks commanding roughly 90% of tokenized-equities decentralized exchange volume and attracting approximately 58,000 daily active traders—substantially more than traditional platforms like Robinhood (10,000–18,000) or competing products (5,000–8,000).
Usage patterns indicate these tokens function as active financial instruments rather than passive holdings. In July, 58.5% of bStocks holders also traded perpetuals or direct equities, and approximately 31% of assets under management were posted as margin collateral as of August 25. The broader RWA market has expanded to over $30B in total active capitalization, roughly six times its 2024 level, with its share of perpetual volume rising substantially even as overall crypto trading contracted.
