Bitcoin, Ethereum ETFs post fourth straight day of inflows
Macro & Markets ·
U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs extended a four-day run of net inflows on July 7, with Bitcoin funds pulling in $265.7 million and Ethereum funds adding between $26.9 million and $29.1 million.
BlackRock's IBIT accounted for the bulk of the Bitcoin figure, drawing $209 million in a single day, according to ChainCatcher. Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF, BTC, added a further $42.2504 million on the day, while the Grayscale ETF GBTC recorded the largest single-day outflow among Bitcoin products at $44.4527 million.
The inflow marks the largest daily haul for Bitcoin ETFs since May 5, based on the ChainCatcher report citing SoSoValue data. IBIT's historical cumulative net inflow has reached $60.203 billion, and Grayscale's BTC has accumulated $2.441 billion since inception, while GBTC's historical net outflow stands at $27.215 billion.
Total net assets held across Bitcoin spot ETFs stood at $77.318 billion as of the data snapshot, equivalent to 6.04% of Bitcoin's total market value, with cumulative net inflows since launch reaching $51.345 billion.
The four consecutive days of positive flows across both Bitcoin and Ethereum products suggest a shift after weeks of outflow pressure on spot markets, potentially reflecting renewed institutional accumulation. That trend did not hold uniformly in the days that followed: a related reading for July 8 shows Bitcoin ETFs reversing into $84.9 million in outflows even as Ethereum ETFs continued attracting capital, pulling in $70.5 million.
What remains unclear is whether the July 7 rebound represents a durable turn in institutional positioning or a temporary pause within a longer outflow cycle, particularly given the swift reversal in Bitcoin flows the following day. Ethereum ETF demand, by contrast, appears more consistent across both sessions, though the range of $26.9 million to $29.1 million on July 7 leaves the precise figure unsettled.
