US M2 money supply reached $23.22 trillion in July following a $102.8 billion monthly increase, extending a streak of 27 consecutive monthly gains. Since the start of 2026, M2 has grown $862.7 billion, now standing $1.43 trillion above its March 2022 peak. The money supply has expanded at an average annual rate of 6.3% since 2000, equivalent to roughly $700 billion yearly.
