US manufacturing activity accelerated in July, with the ISM Manufacturing PMI climbing 2.3 points to 55.6, marking the seventh consecutive monthly expansion and the highest reading since May 2022. New orders rose to 56.7 while employment expanded for the first time since January, climbing to 52.8. Prices paid declined for a third consecutive month, falling 1.9 points to 71.1, the lowest level since February.
