Binance delisting Epic Chain and QuickSwap on October 28 following compliance review, triggering 15–22% price drops.
Regulation & Gov ·
Binance announced it will terminate services for Epic Chain and QuickSwap effective October 28, following a review of their compliance with exchange standards. The delisting has already driven sharp price declines, with EPIC dropping 15% and QUICK falling 22%. The exchange will remove both assets from its Copy Trading section on October 21, followed by the removal of spot trading services a week later; deposits will cease to be credited after October 28, though withdrawals remain available through December 28.
The exchange regularly evaluates listed cryptocurrencies against criteria including trading volume, liquidity, team commitment, network security, and development activity. When assets no longer meet these standards or the broader market landscape shifts, Binance conducts deeper reviews and may remove them. Delisting announcements typically harm affected tokens because Binance's market position can damage reputation, reduce liquidity, and limit accessibility for holders.
In a separate matter, Binance will perform Ethereum network wallet maintenance on October 15, temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals for approximately one hour. Trading will continue unaffected during the maintenance window. The exchange has conducted similar procedures multiple times recently without major reported issues.
