Bybit discontinuing ZIG, BILL, BSB, SATS, and SC as collateral and lending assets.
Regulation & Gov ·
Bybit will discontinue support for five assets—ZIG, BILL, BSB, SATS, and SC—as collateral and lending instruments, with changes rolling out across November 2026. Beginning November 9, all borrowing and lending services for these tokens will suspend, including UTA borrowing, crypto loans, and Bybit Savings. Three days later, on November 12, these assets will no longer be accepted as collateral across all loan products and cannot be used for repayment; any outstanding liabilities denominated in these tokens must be settled before that date or face automatic liquidation.
The timeline creates operational urgency for affected users. Those with margin positions face potential liquidation if they fail to rebalance before the November 12 cutoff, as collateral denominated in these five tokens will cease to be recognized. Bybit Savings holdings will be automatically redeemed and returned to funding accounts on November 13, though early withdrawal is encouraged to avoid delays. Users are advised to monitor their loan-to-value ratios and maintenance margin rates closely to prevent unintended asset losses.
No public statement explains the rationale for discontinuing support for these specific tokens, nor has Bybit indicated whether these assets will remain tradeable on spot markets or only lose collateral and lending privileges.
