Bybit published a Restricted Counterparty List blocking transactions with multiple platforms, wallets, mixers, and designated entities including Lazarus Group, Hamas, Houthis, and ISIS-K.
Regulation & Gov ·
Bybit has published a Restricted Counterparty List that restricts transactions with dozens of cryptocurrency platforms, wallet services, mixing utilities, and designated terrorist and criminal organizations. The list covers trading venues such as Garantex, Bitzlato, EXMO, HTX, and Wallex; custodial and payment services including Payeer, Nobitex, and Bitpapa; mixing tools like Bitcoin Fog, ChipMixer, and Sinbad; and illicit marketplaces including Hydra Market. Named individuals and groups on the list span Lazarus Group, Hamas, Ansarallah, and ISIS-K.
Bybit stated it will enforce the restrictions by suspending or terminating accounts tied to prohibited counterparties, blocking related transactions and funds, submitting regulatory filings where required, and liquidating positions where a connection to a restricted entity is detected. The exchange frames these measures as compliance actions aligned with applicable jurisdictional laws.
The criteria by which entities were selected for inclusion, the date the list took effect, and whether other major exchanges have published comparable restrictions remain unclear from the announcement.
