Canton Strategic Holdings plans to launch first SEC-compliant tokenized US stock trading on Nov. 2 via AMM with 24/7 settlement.
Regulation & Gov ·
Canton Strategic Holdings (CNTN), a Nasdaq-listed company, has partnered with tokenized securities venue TSV to begin trading its own stock in tokenized form as early as November 2. The offering aims to become the first compliant onshore tokenized US equity transaction under the SEC's Innovation Exemption Framework, according to reporting on the deal.
The tokenized shares will grant holders the same economic and governance rights as traditional Nasdaq shares. Transactions will settle on an automated market maker model, enabling settlement availability approaching around the clock rather than following standard market hours.
Success in the November 2 launch could establish a precedent for how other public companies approach equity tokenization and demonstrate early regulatory acceptance of the model within US securities frameworks. What remains unclear is whether technical or market conditions might alter the launch timeline, or what trading volume or adoption levels the platform experiences once live.
