Cardano's network recorded roughly 27,500 daily active addresses on October 7 and 8 following the introduction of CIP-0113, a token standard enabling regulated asset issuers to embed requirements like KYC and sanctions checks into native tokens, according to data from Santiment Intelligence. The activity level was approximately 1.7 times September's typical weekday average and notably exceeded corresponding figures for Bitcoin and Ethereum during the same period. In a separate development, the Cardano Foundation announced that its bid for the .ada internet domain advanced in ICANN's New gTLD Program, having previously secured roughly 75% backing through community voting. The foundation expects successful domains from the current round to be delegated between 2028 and 2030, contingent on ICANN's assessment of technical, financial, and operational criteria.
