Injective becomes the first Layer 1 blockchain to achieve SEC-registered transfer agent status.
Regulation & Gov ·
Injective has become the first layer 1 blockchain to achieve SEC-registered transfer agent status, enabling the network to support tokenized assets including funds, equities, private company shares, and enterprise receivables. The development integrates recordkeeping infrastructure that U.S. markets require for regulated asset issuance.
The achievement connects Injective Mint, Injective Institutional Services, and native financial modules into a single stack handling issuance, compliance, ownership records, settlement, and onchain utility. Injective dApps now support onchain perpetual markets spanning crypto, FX, equities, pre-IPO assets, and exotic instruments, with open market creation available on the network itself.
Related activity includes more than 50 teams building on Injective at a recent event, Helix Markets reaching $80 billion in cumulative trading volume, and Hydro integrating stablecoins, liquid staking tokens, and other assets into its lending protocol. What remains unclear is the scope of assets that may be immediately available for issuance under the new transfer agent status and any timeline for major institutional deployments.
