PancakeSwap initiates governance vote to raise liquidity provider fee share to 88% and reduce CAKE daily issuance by 69%.
Regulation & Gov ·
PancakeSwap has initiated a governance vote proposing two changes to its protocol economics: raising the fee share directed to liquidity providers to 88% and reducing daily CAKE token issuance by 69%. The vote represents an attempt to rebalance incentives between LP rewards and token supply growth.
The proposal aims to channel a larger portion of protocol fees back to liquidity providers while simultaneously contracting the rate at which new CAKE enters circulation. This dual mechanism is designed to strengthen returns for capital providers and reduce dilution pressure on the token.
The vote has been initiated but it remains unclear when voting concludes, what the current voting margin stands at, or whether additional governance discussion precedes implementation.
