SBI and Doppler Finance launch regulated institutional XRP lending and tokenized-asset platform in Japan, with XDP governance token TGE imminent.
Regulation & Gov ·
SBI and Doppler Finance have established a partnership to build regulated infrastructure for institutional-grade crypto services in Japan. The collaboration spans custody through SBI Digital Markets, lending and liquidity via SBI Digital Finance, and yield generation and tokenization through Doppler vaults on the XRP Ledger. The partnership targets banks, funds, and professional firms rather than retail traders, with institutional XRP lending managed through HashHub Lending, collateral management, and tokenized-asset solutions forming the core offerings.
The integrated infrastructure reflects a coordinated approach to market entry, with XRP also deployed on Base and integrated with Aerodrome Finance. Doppler introduced its XDP utility and governance token this week, which will serve as an access and coordination layer for the protocol alongside future staking capabilities.
The XDP token generation event remains unannounced, leaving timing and allocation details unknown. The scope of institutional adoption and the practical velocity of custody and lending deployments across the regulated Japanese market have not yet materialized.
