Blockchain.com partners with NYSE to offer 24/7 tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs on-chain.
RWA & Tokenization ·
Blockchain.com and NYSE Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore offering tokenized U.S. exchange-listed equities and ETFs to crypto investors through NYSE's digital alternative trading system, subject to regulatory approval. The partnership aims to connect NYSE's tokenized securities platform with Blockchain.com's global user base of over 44 million confirmed accounts, enabling 24/7/365 trading decoupled from traditional market hours and fractional ownership opportunities.
The collaboration includes bidirectional market data sharing: ICE Data Services will distribute Blockchain.com's crypto analytics to institutional subscribers, while Blockchain.com will integrate NYSE and ICE exchange data feeds into its platform. According to Citi Institute forecasts cited in the announcement, tokenized assets could reach a $5.5 trillion base case by 2030, driven by benefits such as faster onchain settlement and global investment access previously limited by geography and brokerage access.
The arrangement remains contingent on regulatory approvals and the operational launch of NYSE's digital ATS. Neither party has disclosed a timeline for implementation or specific details on trading volumes, fee structures, or which tokenized instruments will be prioritized at launch.
